How drastically life has changed for all of us in such a short period of time... I find it still hard to process what we are going through and, now more than ever, I believe that self-care should be paramount in your routines.

I thought it was topical to talk about masks- seeing as I’m wearing one form in the streets, and another form in my house. For those who are lucky enough to have plenty of time being healthy and safe, I wanted to share my favourite masks that I use #athome. Using masks always demand a little extra me-time so let’s take advantage! I apply a mask nearly every day listening to a nice podcast or during the numerous cleaning tasks I suddenly have (help!).

Here are the ones I absolutely swear by and love !

Cleanse

I use two purifying clay masks to cleanse the skin. The Strivectin Rescue Blue Mask is really easy to apply and pretty speedy as you only need to leave it for eight to ten minutes. It’s perfect to do quickly in the morning before I go in the shower.

Another clay mask I love for the mornings is Bella Forever’s Purple Passion Mask. It’s great because it’s 100% organic, vegan and cruelty free. I like the ceremony of it: it’s a little powder that you mix with water and leave on for fifteen minutes to purify your skin. It smells super nice on top of it.

Hydrate & Anti-Age

Who doesn’t love a sheet mask? Sheet masks are hassle-free and I absolutely love them since the product stays really absorbs into the skin afterwards. I also secretly love to sneak up on the hubby and look like a serial killer while wearing it.

For ultra hydration, I use the Sarah Chapman 3D Moisture Infusion Mask and it’s great to use at night before you go to sleep. I massage the rest of the product afterwards and use my night skincare routine on top. A little bit of luxe that I love!

I discovered recently the new MZ Skin Vitamin-Infused Mask by Dr. Maryam Zamani and I’m hooked. It’s a vitamin-infused facial sheet mask that you can store in the fridge as well. The perfect “pick me up” and extremely useful in the Summer while you expose your skin to the sun. I love it, a really refreshing and plumping effect. Also a good one to use after a late night out partying in this super club called “Mi Casa” (my living room).

Another product from MZ Skin is her Radiance & Renewal Mask. This product does wonders and I have recommended it so many times. I usually use it in the evening before I go out. I do a good exfoliation before and then apply a thin layer for twenty minutes. It really shows such an immediate effect and my makeup looks “wow” after that. This is my number one mask that I would not live without.

Lips

I had bought plenty of lip masks before that I found never really worked and I was looking for something that really repairs the lips and hydrates. Let’s face it, no lip mask gives you new lips or does miracles but I love hydration for the fine lines around the mouth… and frankly I am just a mask freak!

The Rodial Dragons Blood Lip Mask is the one I prefer by far. It’s a little sheet mask that sticks so well to the mouth and you hardly feel it. Super easy to use and great before going out to your kitchen for dinner #athome. Overnight I apply a thick layer of the Veneffect Anti Aging Lip Treatment and that seriously works for fine lines.

Eyes

I have used and tried so many eye sheet masks or patches but for me it doesn’t work. The last one I tried is the new eye mask from Sarah Chapman but I find them all quite complicated to patch on and I don’t see any difference. A mask has to have some sort of immediate effect for me.

So I switched to a cream eye mask and I found the Sisley Masque Contour des Yeux. It’s a little bit pricey and the tube is tiny but I really love the results. I use this quite often during the week.

Hair

Last but not least! I hate putting hair masks on at home on wet hair after my shower because it bores me to go back and rinse it off so I discovered the Pre Shampoo Mask from Sisley. Amazing product ! It works like a clay mask purifying your scalp and getting all the pollution and toxins out. Leaves my hair feeling really fresh and shiny.

I hope you are all well and healthy ! These are very tough times and we are all in this together. I hope you’ll have some “me” time #athome and can’t wait to hear about some of the masks you love.
